Caldecotte evening

Introduction

The day after getting my new camera I managed to find a few hours in the evening to wander around before and after sunset, taking pictures in the local area around Caldecotte Lake.

Caldecotte

The interesting swamp area.

Not a great picture, but I climbed over a 'nobody allowed past this gate' gate and walked out to the end of a pontoon over the lake to get it. So it's in. :)

A ramp in the lake overflow. (It's not normally there...)

The moon!

Back to the weir on the Little Ouse. A sign reads 'No Swimming' - on hot days in summer it's usual to find a bunch of kids playing in it.

Still the moon!

Simpson and back around the lake

Car-park for the lake area. The gate is to prevent caravans from getting through.

Okay, so taking pictures without a tripod in this light isn't really feasible.

Back to Caldecotte lake - and, yet still, the half-moon.
