Cambridge and Grantchester

Introduction

R and I went to Cambridge, primarily to visit R’s mum, and took a short walk to Grantchester in the afternoon.

Cambridge

We walked from our hotel through town to the river.

Point well made. (Graffiti near our hotel.)

To Grantchester

Following the riverside path took us through various parkland all the way to Grantchester, with only a short diversion onto roads.

There followed a pause for afternoon tea at the Orchard Tea Garden. Nice, but packed - R queued for a long time to get our order, while I found a place to sit in their garden.

Grantchester church

We took a stroll around Grantchester village, and a look in their church.

To Cambridge

Our return to Cambridge followed a very similar path.

We then walked through Cambridge. I took a few photos of the sights along our route.
